PERSONAL BACKGROUND

My involvement and interest in Family History goes back to 1985 when my wife's brother began researching their family tree. In the mid 90s following the death of my parents I began my own research, and for a number of years now I have carried out research for other people, with excellent results.

I am currently studying towards the Higher Certificate of Genealogy with the prestigious Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies.
I am a member of the Society of Genealogists and of several local Family History Societies.
I am also working towards becoming a full member of A.G.R.A.
( The Association of Genealogists & Researchers in Archives)

I have lived in Lancashire all my life so have an extensive knowledge of the local and surrounding areas and their history and customs. Therefore where possible all my presentation packages will have some local history background included.
